| 2025-08-07 | repot | repot into slightly smaller terracotta pot. I want to see if the conifers grow better in these rather than black plastic. Will the protect from direct sun on pot, hold a bit more water or help with air flow. Pot only has one hole so might need to watch drainage. This has been styled by a friend of Scott Martin from NZ, while good technique, was not really to my taste. Re.obed wire but didn’t cut back or style. Will let recover, and style in jan /Feb. Root ball was very dry, a bit concerning, did spray while repotting. It had been on top of shed roof, so maybe to exposed and alot of sun, might need to water these ones more. Root system was good, cleared it out removed a few thick roots but tried to go easier on this one. |
